We are pleased to offer a number of continuing education opportunities to our current & former students, paramedic colleagues and others who hold a license and are looking to enhance, refresh or maintain their skills and knowledge.

Scope of Practice Change Training (Coming Soon)

Mini-Bite Virtual Sessions (Coming Soon)

COST: Free to all

CMEs PER SESSION: 2.0 (awaiting EMALB approval)

PCP & ACP Instructors, along with various other subject matter experts, lead a 1.5 hour group discussion on a focused, specific topic of paramedic practice. Participants are welcome to audit simply for their own benefit or, for those seeking CMEs, they can complete a brief post session assignment to claim 2.0 CMEs (EMALB approved pending).

Simulation Practice Sessions (Coming Soon)

COST: Free to current & former students, and to BCEHS & Yukon EMS preceptors

* All others are welcome, but will have a $25 one time fee on their initial session to purchase insurance
CMEs PER SESSION: 4.0

Open to OFA 3, FR, EMR, PCP & ACP license holders or students, a qualified instructor will lead attendees through a variety of practical sims appropriate for your level of practice to help you strengthen and maintain your skills.

Preceptor Lunch & Learns

COST: Free

REQUIREMENT: Must be a current BCEHS or Yukon EMS preceptor (ACP or PCP)
CMEs PER SESSION: 2.0 (awaiting EMALB approval)

PCP & ACP Instructors take a large topic such as "Trauma" and lead a discussion on a "Mini-bite" of the subject area that is focused on a specific topic like "3 H's of Trauma" or "Managing increased ICP". Participants are able to audit simply for their own benefit or, for those wanting CMEs, they can complete a brief post session assignment to claim 2.0 CMEs (once EMALB approved).
