About Us

Columbia Paramedic Academy is British Columbia’s largest paramedic training institution, offering both Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) and Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) programs. Our management team and staff embrace progressive approaches to learning in order to provide an engaging and fulfilling educational experience for our students.

Columbia Paramedic Academy is part of Columbia Learning Group, a leader in paramedic and first aid training & curriculum development. Our sister companies, Heartsafe EMS and Columbia Medical Training offer various first aid and first responder courses throughout the province of BC.

Current Postings

Available positions are listed below.  Administrative, Management and Lead Educator positions are typically posted for 3 weeks or until the position is filled.  Applicants to these positions proceed through a recruitment process that includes a screening telephone call, 1-2 in person interviews and reference checks.

Educator positions are handled a little differently.  There is no end date to these postings as we typically have need to hire for our various locations throughout the year.  Applicants will complete a video interview with a program manager and, if successful, will be placed in a province-wide “Qualified Candidate” pool. Our Lead Educators offer shifts to candidates in that pool when vacancies arise at their location. 

When hiring Educators for our classrooms we look for those with a passion for both education and paramedicine.  While we welcome applications from experienced educators, junior or even new educators are also encouraged to apply as we have a number of in-house training programs available to support those relatively new to the field.
