Annual Waitlist Shuffle
Primary Care Paramedic Program

Interested in moving your accepted seat or waitlisted application to next year?

Each Spring Columbia Paramedic Academy releases the schedule for the upcoming calendar year. We are seeing extremely high demand for our Primary Care Paramedic programs and typically fill all available seats for the current calendar year by February or March, with another 150+ names of waitlisted students in our system. The release of a new schedule leads to a significant rush from waitlisted individuals hoping to secure a spot. We have set up a multi-phase process to manage this demand while also allowing our Admissions team to continue to perform their normal day to day tasks.

Please read and follow the instructions below. This will allow us to process all student requests as fairly and quickly as possible.

1) Review the infographic  found here before you contact us. Many of the questions we receive have already been answered here.

2) Be patient as you await a reply from our team to any call or email.  Repeated calls or emails for the same issue only add to the workload as we have to follow up each time to confirm there is not a new issue. You should expect a delay of 2-3 business days for a response during peak times.

3) Remember that seats in courses are offered based on an applicant’s Priority Date, so for each phase it does not matter if you are the first person we hear from or the last. Once the phase is complete and we have returned all calls/emails, we compile a list of all of the requests received, and then issue offers for seats based on Priority Dates. Repeatedly calling or emailing will not increase your chances of getting into a program.

Submitting Your Requests

Once your phase opens, you can submit your request using the form below. We require both your email address and the date you initially applied to protect your security. Don’t remember? That’s okay! Log in to the secure portal at Submittable (links below) to view both.

Made a mistake or need to update your submission? Each submission overwrites any previous ones. You are welcome to resubmit as many times as needed while your eligible phase remains open.
